Terms of use
The terms for using ipcheckerpro's tools and API: free use, no warranty, rate limits, acceptable use of the network tools, and our right to block abuse.
Agreement
By using ipcheckerpro, its tools, or its API, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update the terms from time to time; the current version is always on this page, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
Free use
The tools on this site are free for personal, educational, and commercial use through the website and through the public API. No account or key is required. We may change, limit, or remove any tool at any time, and we may introduce paid tiers in the future without affecting the free tools described here at the time of the change.
No warranty
The site and its results are provided as they are, without any warranty, express or implied. Geolocation is an estimate, network classification is based on public data and keyword rules, blocklist and registry results come from third parties, and the anonymity score reflects publicly checkable signals only. Do not rely on a result for a decision where an error would cause harm without verifying it independently. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or its data.
Acceptable use
You may not use the site or its API to:
- scan, probe, or test the ports of any host you do not own or have explicit permission to test. The port checker and port scanner are for your own servers and networks only;
- send traffic at a rate intended to degrade the service for others or to circumvent the rate limits described below;
- harvest data from the site by automated means other than the API, or republish our pages, text, or design;
- interfere with the site's operation, attempt to access the administration area, or exploit any vulnerability you find rather than reporting it through the contact page;
- use the tools in connection with fraud, unauthorized access to systems or accounts, harassment, or any activity that is unlawful where you are or where the target is.
Each lookup form has its own per-address rate limit, and the contact form accepts a small number of messages per hour. These limits exist to keep the tools available and are enforced automatically.
API terms
The public API is keyless and limited to 60 requests per minute per IP address for the IP and ASN endpoints, and 30 requests per minute for the DNS endpoint. Requests beyond the limit receive an HTTP 429 response. If you display geolocation data from the API, you must show the attribution "IP geolocation by DB-IP" with a link to db-ip.com, as required by the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license of the underlying database. You may not cache and redistribute the full dataset as a substitute for the original. We may change the API's shape or limits; changes are announced on the API page.
Advertising and partner content
Some pages carry banners and partner listings, which are marked as such and link out with rel="sponsored". We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of advertisers or partners. See the advertising page for details.
Our right to block abuse
We may limit, suspend, or block access from any address, network, or client that we believe is violating these terms or harming the service, with or without notice. Where abuse originates from a network, we may block the whole range. We may also report abuse to the responsible network operator.
Intellectual property
The text, design, code, and name of ipcheckerpro belong to the operators. You may link to any page and quote short excerpts with attribution. Third-party datasets remain subject to their own licenses, listed on the About page.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what we record and for how long. It forms part of these terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operators' place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about the terms go through the contact page.
